Abstract

1365472 Pressurized dispensing containers AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT S A 27 June 1973 [21 Aug 1972] 30573/73 Heading F1R An actuator for a pressurized dispensing container valve comprises a cap having a flexible head 11 and a discharge spout 19, which when secured to a container forms a variable volume chamber 15. The spout communicates with a discharge tube 17 and at the junction there is an opening 22 to the chamber 15 closable by a valve gate 23 when the top of the actuator is depressed. The tube 17 communicates through a port 27 with a chamber 25 the upper end of which is engageable with the end of the valve stem 26 on depression of the actuator. Air is expelled from the chamber 15 through the opening 22 and on release undischarged material is withdrawn into the chamber via the opening 22 and port 27. Columns 16 support the actuator on the container rim. The wall 12 may be of bellows construction.
