Abstract

954,712. Valves. GASKELL & CHAMBERS Ltd. March 12, 1963 [March 14, 1962], No. 9758/62. Heading F2V. A rotary, conical plug with a transverse bore 13a is turned between open and closed positions, defined by fixed stops 17 which coact with an abutment 16 on the plug, by a forked handle 18 the two arms of which are received in transverse bores in projecting bosses 14 at each end of the plug. One of the bosses 14 may carry a spring-loaded washer engaging a flat portion of one of the arms for locating the handle. An outlet tube 12 extends from the body 10 on the side opposite to the handle. A plug 20 may be removed for cleaning the fluid passageway.
