Abstract

953,103. Valves. J. McLEAN. Aug. 8, 1960 [May 13, 1959], No. 12398/59. Heading F2V. A rotary cylindrical two-way plug valve comprises a body 10, Figs. 4 and 5, having inlet and outlet ports 16, 15 and a valve member made up of a cylindrical part 17 and two semi-circular sectioned parts 18, 19, the former of which has a port 20 and the latter of which has an outer rubber or like face 21. In the open position of the valve the ports 15, 16 are interconnected through the bore of the cylindrical part 17 and in the closed position fluid enters the port 20 to urge the parts 18, 19 outwardly so that the face 21 seals the outlet port 15.
