Abstract

1,262,428. Valves. GROHE HANDELSGESELLSCHAFT m.b.H. 25 Feb., 1970 [25 Feb., 1969], No. 9187/70. Heading F2V. A fluid control valve comprises a body having an inlet and outlet, a rotary valve member 2 including an elastomeric portion 4 displaceably arranged so that, when the valve is in the closed position, fluid pressure at the inlet acting on one side of the elastomeric portion 4 moves it to urge another side of the portion 4 into sealing engagement with the outlet. The elastomeric insert 4 is contained in a bore 4a of the valve member 2 at right angles to the fluid throughbore 10. The valve member may be made of metal or synthetic material.
