Abstract

1,044,275. Valves. H. KIEFER. Feb. 20, 1964 [Feb. 21, 1963], No. 7101/64. Heading F2V. A safety valve comprises a piston 10, Fig. 1 (not shown), which closes the port 7 between a fluid line 2 and exhaust line 8. Pressure in the line 2 acts on the piston 10 against the action of a permanent magnet 12 and spring 17, the action of which spring can be adjusted by a screwed cap 14. The piston 10 may be reset by a knob 16 on a spindle 15. In a modification, the piston acts on a further piston valve to open the connection between the fluid line and exhaust.
