Abstract

1,072,141. Valves. CONSULTAIR Ltd. Jan. 12, 1966 [Jan. 23, 1965], No. 3092/65. Heading F2V. A slide valve comprises a spool 13 slidable in a bore under the action of fluid pressure admitted to opposite ends of the bore by a pilot valve. The spool carries rods 36 at either end which slide within transparent caps 31 to provide an indication of the valve position. The caps 31 are also slidable in the housing so that the valve may be moved manually by the caps. As shown, the spool carries a spring-loaded valve element 26 which slides on a flat plate 18 and connects an exhaust port 23 to either of two motor ports- 24 or 25 while the other motor port is connected to a pressure supply 19 which opens into the bore by a passage (not shown).
