Abstract

918,122. Gear pumps. HYDROSTEER Ltd. May 12, 1959 [May 12, 1958], No. 15225/58. Class 110 (2). A gear pump supplying fluid to main and auxiliary outlets 11, 10 respectively is provided with a spring-loaded valve 5 which is progressively acted upon by the output pressure to first feed fluid through the main outlet only and then through both outlets. Continued movement of the valve to the left serves to throttle the flow of fluid through the main outlet but not to stop same. A spring-loaded by-pass valve 19 is incorporated in the circuit as shown.
