Abstract
914,746. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. BRITISH PETROLEUM CO. Ltd., and WILLIAMS, P. G. May 4, 1960 [March 3, 1959], No. 7306/59. Class 135. A liquid-flow control system comprises a flow-control valve 11 connected at its downstream side to a Venturi 12, and a cylinder having high and low-pressure liquid inlets 16 and 13 connected to the Venturi to supply liquid to opposed faces of a spring-loaded piston in mechanical association with a valve 8 for regulating the pressure of a fluid in the chamber on one side of a diaphragm connected by a spindle to the valve 11, the chamber on the other side of the diaphragm not being directly open to atmosphere. The valve 11 may be located in a side stream, withdrawn from the main stream, or in a by-pass stream across a pump supplying the main stream.
