Abstract

883,817. Valves. ROBERTSHAW-FULTON CONTROLS CO. Dec. 16, 1957 [April 25, 1957], No. 39081/57. Class 135. A fluid-pressure reducing valve comprises a housing 10 having a chamber 66 disposed between an inlet 16 and an outlet 130, a stationary valve seat member 36 and a movable valve member 64 co-operating with an end recess 62 on the stationary member to form the annular chamber 66 in which fluid-pressure impulses are dissipated, an outlet pressureresponsive diaphragm 104 connected to move valve member 64, the outlet pressure being adjustable by means of a bolt 96 adjusting the loading of a spring 92 on the diaphragm, the latter being positioned so as to be free from direct impingement of the fluid flow and the stationary member being cylindrical with a concentric series of axial bores 58 leading from the inlet to the chamber 66.
