930,795. Fluid-pressure servomotor systems. P. FIORENTINI. July 4, 1960 [Dec. 2, 1959], No. 23245/60. Class 135. In a pressure regulating valve, a diaphragm 14 has a lost-motion connection with a valve spindle 2 and a rigid connection with a pair of resilient control valves 22, 28 actuated in response to outlet pressure variations to keep the pressure in a balancing chamber 8 proportional to inlet pressure. Gas from an inlet 5 flows through a filter 12 and a closure member 1 on the stem 2 to an outlet 6 having a conduit communicating with the space below the diaphragm 14. A rise in outlet pressure lifts the diaphragm to open the valve 22 and allow gas from the inlet to flow into the chamber 8 through passages 19 and 17 while a fall in outlet pressure opens the valve 28 to vent the chamber through the passages 17 and a bore 29 in a rigid member 27 between the valves. This member is rigidly connected by a pin 27 to a pair of sleeves 15, 24 having the diaphragm 14 clamped between them and moves relatively to the spindle 2 which carries a flanged sleeve 23 limiting the lost motion. Metal sealing bellows 32, 33 are provided.
