Abstract

899,202. Gear pumps. WAHLMARK, G. A. Feb. 4, 1960 [Feb. 5, 1959], No. 3979/60. Class 110 (2). [Also in Group XXIX] A gear pump for supplying oil at constant pressure to an atomizer 8 from a tank 4 is provided with a main valve and a pressure control valve which valves are constituted each by one fixed valve seat 11, 12 respectively in a common body 10 and by a common spring- loaded diaphragm 16, the pressure control valve incorporating a grooved support member 19 for preventing bulging of the diaphragm under the suction pressure thereon and for permitting by-passing of fluid to the inlet side of the pump. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown), the support member is movable in the body 10 and is spring loaded. U.S.A. Specification 2,654,323 is referred to.
