Abstract

1,163,663. Valves. SOC. DES COMPRESSEURS A MEMBRANE CORBLIN. 9 March, 1967 [21 March, 1966], No. 11073/67. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] A valve for relieving excess pressure in a duct 43 connected to a pulsating column of liquid used to actuate the diaphragm of a gas compressor (see Division F1) comprises a valve member 41 urged against a seat 42 by a spring 48 adjustably loaded by a differential area piston 47 slidable in a cylinder 46 in response to the compressor discharge gas supplied through ducts 52, 53. Pressure in the duets 52, 53 acts on the two opposed faces 49, 50 of the piston, the stroke thereof being limited by adjustable stops 54, 55 screwed into the cylinder 46. The cylinder 46 has a vent 51.
