965,300. Cartons. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. Nov. 9, 1962 [Feb. 16, 1962], No. 6155/62. Headings B8C and B8P. A cardboard carton having four sides 2, 3, 4, 5 folded up from the base 1 and joined by gusset folds 6 has an overwrap of flexible material covering only the top of the carton and adhered to flaps 9-12 on the sides 2-5 which swing away from the base thus tensioning the overwrap. The flexible material may be transparent or translucent thermoplastic material heat sealed to the flaps or may be opaque material such as metal foil, paper/polyethylene or foil/polyethylene laminates.
