Abstract

1,171,127. Laminates. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. 16 May, 1965 [28 June, 1966], No. 28878/66. Heading B5N. [Also in Division B8] A blank for making containers (see Division B8) comprises a web 1 of polypropylene and a web 2 of polythene sandwiching cardboard or like strips 3, 4 and laminated directly to each other elsewhere; the laminations may be secured by welding, or (Fig. 3) by adhesive supplied at 6 and dried to tackiness at 60. The containers are formed from two of the blanks defined by severance lines A, B, and have two opposed sides, not reinforced by the cardboard strips. Alternatively, the outer layers may comprise paper or metal.
