Abstract

1,088,564. Bags; packages. TOWER PACKAGING CO. Feb. 15, 1965, No. 6519/65. Headings B8C and B8K. Thermoplastic material, folded at 23 (Fig. 1) and heat sealed at 25 and, after filling, at 26 to form a bag 22, is pre-grooved at 24 to facilitate opening the bag. In the form shown the groove 24 may be in one or both walls of the bag. The thermoplastic material may be laminated to paper or other sheet materials. The groove lines are preferably formed by probes pressing into the tubular material as it is extruded.
