Abstract

A bag package has a hand hole for carrying. In order to prevent the hand hole (9) from being torn out in the case of contents having a high specific weight, the hand hole extends into the region of side folds (7) of the bag (2). The individual layers of the bag made of welded film (3) are connected to one another along the edge of the hand hole (9) by a separation seam.
