Abstract

1,194,706. Shrink-wrap packaging. METAL BOX CO. Ltd. 13 Feb., 1968 [22 May, 1967], No. 23595/67. Heading B8C. [Also in Division B5] Biscuits are loosely packaged in a sheet of laminated material, which has been made by cooling a heat-shrinkable thermoplastic sheet under tension and bonding by spaced spot adhesions at one or both sides to a layer of heat-stable material, and the package is heated to shrink the first layer and thereby wrinkle the other layer(s). Specified layer combinations are polyethylene-paper and polypropylene-cellulose.
