Abstract

1,258,655. Packaging sheets. ILFORD Ltd. 25 June, 1970 [26 June, 1969], No. 32424/69. Addition to 1,253,204. Heading B8C. Four corner pieces 2-5 are tightly fitted on to a stack 1 of sheets and a strap 6 is placed around the stack, after which the stack is tightly fitted into a box or sleeve and the strap is tensioned and its ends joined together. The corner pieces and the strap prevent relative sliding movement of the sheets and the box or sleeve prevents buckling of the sheets. The strap is located by channels 7 in the corner pieces. If the sheets are light sensitive they are placed initially in a light-tight polyethylene bag. The strap may be of metal or plastics and its ends may be joined by metal clips or by heat welding. The corner pieces may be of metal, wood or plastics, and the box or sleeve of wood, plastics or cardboard. A stiff protective insert may be placed between the stack and the joined ends of the strap, Fig. 2 (not shown).
