Abstract

Driving mechanism, for false-twisting frames used to curl or twist-crimp synthetic filaments in a continuous operation, comprises a twisting tube supported for rotation in the nip between two pairs of rotatable drive discs constituting rollers disposed with their axes parallel to each other and to that of the twisting tube. At least one of the rollers is driven to rotate the tube which is held in position in a radial direction by magnetic forces, and the corresponding drive discs of the two rollers are disposed in a common plane. The embodiment described is identical to that shown in Figs. 1 and 2 in Specification 949,775.
