Abstract

1448027 Support for false twist tube HEBERLEIN & CO AG 31 Oct 1973 [1 Nov 1972] 50640/73 Heading DID A device for rotatably supporting a false twist tube and comprising a mounting carrying two rollers forming a tube-carrying cusp enables the mounting to be moved (a) transversely of a drive belt, and (b) to be supported in a first position and, with inversion of the mounting about a plane containing the roller axes, in a second position, thereby allowing one roller shaft or, for reverse rotation of the twist tube the other roller shaft, to engage the belt. The roller driving the twist tube always drawing the tube towards the cusp. In position A of a false twister, Figs. 1 and 2, mounting 5 is mounted on two pins 4 of support 1, permanent magnet 14 pulls twist tube 12 into a cusp of rollers 10, 11 mounted on shafts 8, 9 supported on mounting 5, and the tube is rotated clockwise by belt 17. In position B, Fig. 2, rods 2 carrying support 1 are extended, and the opposite end of mounting 5 is supported on pins 4, the tube then being rotated anti-clockwise. Magnet 13 does not project beyond the rollers or through planes tangential to both rollers, The inversion of mounting 5 may take place about an axis through the cusp.
