Abstract

1322991 Driving false twist spindles N KODAIRA and N MOTEGI 27 April 1971 [18 Jan 1971] 11543/71 Heading DID The magnet 6 which holds a false twist spindle 5 in contact with a double flanged driving roller 4 is made from an alloy of samarium and cobalt. Typically an alloy comprising samarium and cobalt in the ratio 1:5 is used. The roller 4 is driven from a belt 11 via a cylindrical pulley 10. The spindle 5 has waisted ends and is provided with a sapphire pin 12. Two spindles may be driven by the same roller, Fig. 6 (not shown).
