1301089 Permanent magnets SCRIVEN & PAGET Ltd 2 April 1970 [6 Feb 1969 4 March 1969] 6520/69 and 11348/69 Heading H1P [Also in Divisions D1 and F2] Horse shoe magnets 11 having forked polepieces are used to hold spindles 8 against the periphery of drive wheels 7. The short and long branches of the polepieces exert respectively a lesser and greater attractive force on the spindles. The magnets 11 are mounted to swing about the axis of the drive wheels 7.
