Abstract

991, 900. False-twisting and doubling yarn. HOBOURN AERO COMPONENTS Ltd. Aug. 16, 1962 [Sept. 6, 1961], No. 32060/61. Headings DID and D1F. In a crimping process, a pair of yarns,x,y are false-twisted by each yarn being deflected by elements 15 into frictional engagement with the flanges of a groove 6a or 7a is one of a pair of wheels 6, 7 rotating about an axis transverse to the general direction of yarn movement. The wheels are covered by a rubber-base material. Heaters 4 and 11 each comprise a drum having a multistart helical groove therein. The yarns are doubled on spindle unit 13.
