Abstract

Twisting without filament breaking during twisting is effected by imparting a partial twist to the yarns before they are passed through the squeegee roller feeding system. Pre-twist is effected by providing the rollers with axially extending flat portions so that the twist can "run back" along the yarns in front of the roller system.
