1,129,519. Ring-twisting apparatus. HAMEL PROJEKTIERUNGS-UND VERWALTUNGS A. G. 15 Oct., 1965 [4 Nov., 1964], No. 43731/65. Heading D1D. In a ring-twisting machine having a number of twisting stations at each of which two or more threads are twisted together at each station the delivery roller is driven, independently of the delivery rollers at other stations, from its associated spindle whereby, When a stop-motion is actuated on failure of a thread, the roller and spindle stop simultaneously. As shown, the spindle 9 is driven from a pulley 11 by a belt 10, and has a brake 16 applied by a stop motion when feelers 17 detect the breakage or exhaustion of one of the incoming threads. The delivery roller 2 is driven from the spindle by a .belt 14 or by toothed gearing. Provision may be made for driving the roller at one of a number of different speeds relatively to the spindle.
