Abstract

The texturised ply yarn exhibiting colour combination effects is made up by feeding from three cops via one fixed and two shiftable guides. The latter ensure that alternate differences of feed rates are imparted to two yarns guided on to adjacent feed rollers running at different speeds but having the same diameters. The shiftable guides are controlled by solenoids obtaining pulses from a programmer.
