Abstract

1,015,562. Delivering cigarettes in orderly arrangement. ZAVODY V.I. LENINA PLZEN, NARODNI PODNIK. June 18, 1964 [June 18, 1963], No. 25841/64..Heading A2C. One of two rows of cigarettes issuing from a drum 2 of a cigarette making machine is helically turned through 180 degrees by an endless band running in grooves over four guide pulleys 11-14 so that the mouthpieces of the two rows face in the same direction. One row of cigarettes is delivered directly over a plate 5 on to a catcher band 6. The other row is twisted through 180 degrees between the runs 7 and 8 of an endless band before being delivered over a plate 15 on to the catcher band 6. The endless band runs around a groove in the drum 2 by which it is driven, along the operative run 7, over a pulley 11, along the run 9, over a pulley 12, along the operative run 8 in an oblique direction, over pulleys 13 and 14 and back to the drum 2.
