468,202. Spindle-driving arrangements for spinning &c. machines. PRINCESMITH & STELLS, Ltd., and SMITH, W. PRINCE-. Feb. 16, 1937, No. 4646. [Class 120 (ii)] In spindle-driving arrangements for spinning, twisting and like machines wherein two or more oppositely mounted spindles are tape-driven from a reversible cylinder in association with an idler roller or individual idler pulleys, and tension pulleys, the tension pulleys F are arranged towards one side of the machine and are adjustable collectively, and an idler roller G, or a series of idler pulleys, is arranged between them and the driving-cylinder to increase the driving contact, the run of the tape being such that its driving length extends directly from the cylinder to the spindle for each direction of rotation. As. shown, the tension pulleys are arranged in bights of the belts and the idler bears on one run of each bight.
