A creel in which each frame 3 has two bobbin supply supports and a yarn directing guide (7) has the frames 3 staggered such that each frame has one of the bobbins 1, 2 thereof on a line bisecting the distance between the two bobbins of the next adjacent frame, each frame being slidably mounted for movement in its own plane to and from a main carrier (5).
