Abstract

1,210,342. Tufting machines. LEWIS CARD CO. 12 Feb., 1969, No. 7706/69. Heading D1G. A tufting machine has a yarn guide plate 35 secured to the needle bar 12 and provided with apertures 38 through which the needles 14, 15 pass with clearance, together with yarns 20, 21, so that the yarns extend substantially parallel to the axes of the needles along longitudinal grooves 18 therein to the eyes 19. The yarns 20, 21 are fed through a stationary guide 23 and a jerker bar 26.
