Abstract
1,218,027. Knitting. KARL MAYER TEXTILMASCHINENFABRIK G.m.b.H. 19 Dec., 1967 [19 Dec., 1966], No. 55599/67. Heading D1K. A warp knitted structure, Fig. 1, is formed on a two bed warp knitting machine by feeding yarns from the guides or two two guide bars, the front guide bar feeding yarns to the rear needle bar and the rear guide bar feeding yarns to the front needle bar, the arrangement being such that the at any one time the one guide bar makes overlaps on the needle bar disposed opposite it and the other guide bar makes underlaps over one or more needle spaces, the yarns extending over the fabric as the result of the guides underlapping the needles being held in the fabric by the stitches formed by the needles knitting the yarns fed to them by the other guides.
