Abstract

An effect yarn is mfd. on an uptwister with a hollow spindle with a false twist twist-wheel mounted on top of the hollow spindle. A yarn is drawn up through the hollow spindle over the twist wheel. Another yarn is fed by rolers at a given speed onto this first yarn as the first part of the false twist is inserted below the spindle. When this combined yarn leaves the twist wheel, a further yarn which is mounted on the hollow spindle wraps around the first two to create the fancy effect.
