Abstract

931,610. Guiding means for yarn. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. Jan. 25, 1962 [Feb. 13, 1961], No. 5282/61. Class 120 (2). A yarn guide member adapted to be rotatably mounted upon the tip of a spindle 10 in a ring spinning machine as described in Specification 902,706, has its two yarn guiding eyes 18, 19 connected by a slot 181, 20 in such a way that in doffing of a full package on a tube 11 over the guide member, the yarn is permitted to slide along said slot so as to freely disengage from the eye 18 on the spindle axis. As shown in Fig. 2, the lower eye 19 is preferably angularly displaced with respect to the radial slot 181 by at least 90 degrees. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 902,706.
