930,694. Doffing arrangements. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. Feb. 9, 1962 [Feb. 9, 1961], No. 4915/61. Class 120 (2). In a ring spinning or twisting arrangement in which an anti-ballooning device 11 is mounted on the tip of the spindle blade 10 and the package tube 12 is provided with an extension 121 about which the yarn runs in coils as it passes to the traveller 15, the spindle blade 10 has, adjacent its tip, a portion 101 of reduced diameter such that, in doffing, the package tube with its full package may be inclined away from the delivery rollers 17. A cylindrical member 18 mounted on the tip of the spindle blade locates the upper end of the package tube and receives the first of the yarn coils. Specification 921,117 is referred to.
