[Also in Groups XXII and XXX] A combustion beam and rail member for an under-slung overhead carrier-type material handling system, comprises a vertical web plate member 11 of low carbon steel, a second low carbon steel plate 10 welded along its underside at substantially the longitudinal centreline thereof to the upper edge of said web member 11 and an inverted T-shaped rail 15 welded at its upwardly projecting centre flange to the lower edge of the web member 11.
