Abstract

1415460 Structural joints POTAIN 18 May 1973 [18 May 1972] 23728/73 Heading F2M A joint between two vertically aligned L- shaped metal structural members forming part of a mast or tower crane involves fixing members 3, 6, 7 to the lower member to form an extension defining recesses and likewise securing strengthening plates 10, 11, 12, 13 to thicken its flanges at said one end, the thickened end of the upper member being received in the recesses of the lower member and bolted thereto. The members 3, 6, 7 are provided with holes 4, 5, 8, 9 aligned as shown which in turn register with holes 14, 15 formed in the upper member 2.
