Abstract
716,659. Girders. SCHNADT, H. M. May 9, 1952 [May 18, 1951], No. 11816/52. Class 20 (2). [Also in Group XXII] A girder comprises a web 22 butt we'ded to one face of a flange 20 on the other face of which is a groove 23. The web may be welded to a rib 21 on the flange. A bar may be welded in to fill the groove. When girders are welded end to end a short plate or welding material may be welded in the ends of the grooves of the two girders. Figs. 1-6 (not shown) illustrate examples, of the prior art
