A fluid pressure nozzle 5 is located adjacent the clothing and oscillating comb 1 of a fibrecarrying cylinder, such as a doffer 4a, to direct a fluid blast between them in the opposite direction to that of rotation of the cylinder in order to ensure constant and continuous removal of fibres from the clothing. The nozzle 5 may be adjustably mounted in a fixed position or on the comb.
