898,066. Cutting-apparatus. CHALMERS, J. W., HALL, C. T., ROFFEY, W. A., and MOLINS MACHINE CO. Ltd. March 16, 1960 [March 17, 1959], No. 9217/59. Class 31 (1). [Also in Group XVII] A cutting device on a wrapping machine (see Group XVII) comprises a roller 8, Fig. 1, having knife blades 8A mounted thereon to co-operate with a roller 9 to sever a metal foil wrapper 6A, Fig. 5, from a web and to form slits 11 therein. In a modification, Fig. 10, the wrapper 6A is severed by a knife 68 on a rotatable cutter bar 69 and co-operating with a fixed knife 70. Knives 71 also mounted on the bar 69 form the slits 11. Specification 896,791 is referred to.
