Abstract

908,577. Packages; making wrappers. SCHMERMUND, A. Dec. 15, 1960 [Dec., 24, 1959], No. 43172/60. Classes 94(1) and 94(2). A web of wrapping material comprises a tear strip formed by overlapping and seaming two webs. Separate webs may be fed from rolls, overlapped and glued or welded, Fig. 4 (not shown). Alternatively a web may be cut into two webs by a rotary cutter 9 and counter roller 10 and overlapped. A U-shaped extension 3 may be provided on the overlap to form a tear tab.
