Abstract
869,960. Cleaning textile machines. MARSHALL, R. H. Sept. 21, 1959 [Oct. 7, 1958], No. 31964/58. Class 120(3) Apparatus for removing loose fibres and/or preventing them settling on parts of a ring spinning frame, Fig. 4, or a machine for winding yarn into cheeses, Fig. 5, consists of an endless band C passing around pulleys, as at A, one of which is driven to rotate alternately in opposite directions so as to impart a reciprocating movement to the band, and running in channels c in a frame B so that the space between the two longitudinal parallel portions of the band is air tight, one or more inlet tubes D being carried by one or both band portions and a suction outlet pipe E passing through the frame B into the space. As shown in Fig. 4, tube D is connected to suction nozzles d<SP>1</SP>, d<SP>2</SP>, d<SP>3</SP> through pipe D<SP>1</SP>, and pipe E is connected to an exhaust fan and fibre-collecting chamber (not shown) through duct E<SP>1</SP>. As shown in Fig. 5, tube D is connected to suction nozzles d<SP>4</SP> and d<SP>5</SP>.
