Abstract
<PICT:0749084/IV(c)/1> A decatizing machine comprises a perforated pressure steaming roller 9, a perforated roller 17 through which cooling air may be pumped, an endless apron 7 passing around the two main rollers and guide rollers, and a steam heated roller 25 for drying the apron. The cloth may be fed into the machine at a slightly greater speed than the roller peripheral speed in order to shirnk the cloth in length or prevent the cloth from being tensioned. The drive to the main rollers is preferably arranged through a differential as described in Specification 744,661.
