Abstract
922,472. Cleaning textile spinning &c. machines. AMERICAN MONORAIL CO. Jan. 26, 1960 [Feb. 4, 1959], No. 2790/60. Class 120 (3). Pneumatic apparatus for removing and collecting lint from machines comprises a tube attached to a device creating streams of air moving in opposite directions at different pressures. The tube forms vertical and parallel passages through outlets of one of which highpressure air is directed towards the machine and through an inlet opening in the other of which flows air carrying the lint. The tube shown in Figs. 2 and 3 comprises a blowing passage 7, with walls 2 and 6 forming pockets 14 and 15 housing flexible slats 16 of synthetic resin or wood and fitted with removable and adjustable nozzles 10, and a suction passage 8 reinforced by a frame 20. As shown in Fig. 4, a blowing tube 23 mounts a suction tube 24 comprising an embedded coil spring 32 and a guard 34. In a modification, Fig. 6 (not shown), the suction tube is housed concentrically within the blowing tube. Specifications 899,200 and 922,473 are referred to.
