Abstract

899,200. Cleaning textile spinning &c. machines. AMERICAN MONORAIL CO. Jan. 19, 1960 [Jan. 23, 1959], No. 1902/60. Class 120(3) Pneumatic apparatus for removing lint from a spinning frame comprises a travelling elongated tube of flexible material through which air passes downwardly and is expelled through removable adjustably-directed nozzles which may also be of flexible material. Each nozzle 15 extends through a hole in a side wall 11 and has an annular rib 18 disposed at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle and bearing against the inner surface of the tube. The nozzle is retained by concentric O-rings 21 and 22 maintained under tension in a groove 20 between ribs 17 and 18.
