Abstract

910,801. Clearing apparatus for drafting- rollers. T.M.M. (RESEARCH) Ltd. Sept. 6, 1961 [Sept. 19, 1960], No. 32150/60. Class 120 (2). Clearing means in drafting apparatus, comprises an aspirator intake 19 and a clearer e.g. 18 located in or opposite the intake, the arrangement providing two passageways for the air stream entering the intake respectively before and behind the roller. Each clearer may take the form of a flexible strip attached to a bar e.g. 16 secured to the intake and may be wide enough to allow the roller (e.g. 10) to be adjusted without moving the clearer. The intake may have slots near the ends of the rollers to remove lint from the bearings &c.
