A label-disposing device for bottle-washing machines comprises an inclined sieve 2 or sieves, for removing labelcarrying liquid from the labels, associated with conveyer means, e.g. an endless belt 5, receiving the partlydried labels from the edge 4 of the sieve 2 or sieves to convey them towards detaching means. The liquid may act as a propellant for the labels in passing from sieve to belt. The detaching means may be a tube 16 feeding air and/or water under pressure on to the belt 5, on the side opposite to that on which the labels adhere, under the action of a fan 17, between two substantially-vertical portions 14, 15 of the belt, which may be of smooth mutuallyarticulated corrosion-resistant perforated plates and comprises a substantially-horizontal portion 5<SP>1</SP> along the edge 4 between rollers 6 and 6<SP>1</SP>. The belt has guide rollers 10-11, 12-13, the roller 10 driving.
