770,219. Cleaning textile spinning machines. TEXTILE AIR SYSTEMS, Ltd. Oct. 10, 1955 [Oct. 14, 1954], No. 29652/54. Class 120 (3). A ventilation and dust removal system of a spinning mill in which driving motors for the ring spinning frames are at the same end of each frame as a broken end suction unit, comprises at each frame an open exhaustion cowl or hood c which is connected, as by pipes d to the main ventilation system and is positioned over the discharge orifice at i of the discharge pipe a of the broken end suction unit with a gap therebetween so that the cowl receives the discharge from the pipe a and also draws air from the vicinity of the motor or motors driving the frame so as to exert a cooling action thereon and withdraw dust and fluff thereat. As shown, the system may comprise an overhead cleaner f a nozzle of which, on its travel along one side of the frame, passes through the gap.
