Abstract

859,965. Collapsible boxes. NO-NAIL BOXES Ltd. June 10, 1959 [June 12, 1958], No. 18862/58. Class 18. A collapsible box has an end panel 4 interconnected with the side panels 3, 5 and the other end panel 2 interconnected with the panel 3 by metal hinges 8, 9, 7 respectively, and a bottom panel 1 is provided with a flanged, metal, reinforcing strip 20 spaced from the edges of the panel 1 to provide channels in which the lower edges of the panels 2, 3, 4, 5 engage. A top panel 6 identical with the bottom panel 1 may be provided. The hinges 7, 8, 9 and the strips 20 are secured by driving teeth 11, 21 respectively through the panels and clenching them over on the inside as at 15, 22. The inner faces of the panels 1, 6 are brought into contact for storage by interlocking slots 23 in the panel 6 with slots 24 in the panel 1.
