Abstract

1,094,109. Packing cases. NO-NAIL BOXES Ltd. March 25, 1965 [March 25, 1964], No. 12644/64. Heading B8P. A plywood packing case has a lid 1, base 2 and side walls 3, 4 hinged together by flexible strips 5 so that a gap 6 is provided at two diagonally opposite edges of the case to permit the case to be collapsed flat with the side walls 3, 4 face-to-face. Metal L-shaped members 7 are provided along the bottom edge of three of the side walls to form runners, into which the base 2 may be slidden. The strips 5 are preferably polypropylene. The lid 1 is hinged by a polypropylene strip 10 and has a chamfered rectangular frame 9 attached to its undersurface for engagement between the walls of the case.
