[Class 18] A knock-down packing case comprises separately formed bottom, sides and end walls 1, 2, 3 held together at each end by a rectangular flanged metal frame 6 provided with one or more hook-like projections 9 for releasable engagement with slotted irons 10 on the side walls 2. The upper ends of the vertical flanges of the frames 6 are cut away at one side of the box to provide a slit so that a one-piece lid, or a lid comprising two portions 4, 5, may be slid into position.
